This collector was finishing her PhD in animal biology and had just spent a lot of time on the prairie studying the swift fox. She asked me if I could create something with the fox and an owl. I've spent a little bit of time on the American plains and there were prairie dogs everywhere, so I had to add one into the mix. This piece was really fun to make and I'm especially excited about how the buds on the plants came out.
